Epiphany

Behold, there came wise men from the east . . .

When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceeding great joy.

And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down and worshipped him:

and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts;

gold, and frankincense, and myrrh.

One of my favorite days in the Christian year – on this day we celebrate the Epiphany of the Lord.

All things came into being through him, and without him not one thing came into being.

What has come into being in him was life, and the life was the light of all people.

The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not overcome it.

John 1:3-5
